Awesome Day!!!!!

Hi everyone!!! My name is Peter! You will not believe the week I’ve had. First, last weekend someone dognapped me from my kennel at Southland. That was A-okay with me because I am always up for new adventures. But, not long after that I ended up spending my birthday in an animal hospital getting what I heard someone call “vetted.” They were really nice there and all, but it’s really not the sort of place you want to spend your birthday. Then, this nice lady picked me up and took me to her house. I’ve just been hanging out with her and her hounds for a few days.

I was kind of bummed thinking everyone forgot all about my big day. I mean I turned two and that’s a pretty big deal, right? I’m not a baby anymore – I’m really a big boy now. Then guess what?!?!?! You’ll never guess… Today they threw me my very own surprise birthday party!!!!!! It was just about the bestest day ever! I had the yummiest chicken and carrot cupcakes with yogurt icing and presents and everything! I was so happy I could hardly stand it! I hope you like the pictures!

My foster mom ended up letting me have two since I'm two now:)

This lady who is calling herself my foster mom tells me we’re going to get out and meet lots of people soon at something called “meet and greet.” I’ll make sure she lets everyone know when and where we will be. You should definitely come out and see my handsomeness.

Hugs and kisses (and boy do I like kisses),

Peter

The First 24 Hours

The first day with Peter has been a lot of fun. It is easy to see why this sweet boy was favorite of the trainers at the track. I let my hounds outside when he got here so he could walk around and check things out, and within the first five minutes, he had kissed every human in the house several times and was already playing with stuffies! He is a happy boy - that tail never stops wagging.

We started working on house manners today and I'll post an update along with more pictures later this week.

After going out this morning, Peter hung out in his crate and played with stuffies while I got some work done. Sorry about the light - It was barely dawn and I was trying not to wake the other houndies!
